《老人与海》讲述了一个老渔夫终于钓到一条大马林鱼，但在归程中却遭到鲨鱼的袭击，他最终战胜了鲨鱼，但大马林却被吃的只剩脊骨的故事。没有人是完美的，生活也一样，正如书中所说“一个人并不是生来就要被打败的，人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败”。

《The Old Man and the Sea》 tells a story of an old fisherman who finally caught a big Marlin, but was attacked by sharks on his way back. He finally defeated the sharks, but the big Marlin was eaten to the bone.No one is perfect, so is life. As it says in the book, "A man is not made for defeat, but a man can be destroyed but not defeated."

The book Flipped tells a simple but impressive story about adolescent love: a girl falls in love with a boy at the first sight, but the boy doesn’t have feeling on her. However, as time goes by, their affection has  changed. A trivial daily life, a beautiful sunset,everything is lifelike in this book.    《怦然心动》是一本集幽默、温情、感动、平凡与深刻的小说。讲述了小女孩暗恋男孩的故事，可这里不仅是初恋，还有对于大自然、人生、贫富、艺术、亲情、爱、很多简单而深刻的道理。你不知道生活原来如此美好。

高一3施源

The Little Prince follows a young prince who visits various planets in space and addresses themes of loneliness, friendship, love, and loss. Despite its style as children's book, it makes observations about life, adults and human nature. All grown-ups were once a child!

    《小王子》讲述了一位年轻的王子访问了太空中的各个星球，讲述了孤独、友谊、爱情和失落的故事。尽管是儿童读物，但它对生活、成人和人性进行了观察。我们都曾是孩子，愿你永葆初心！

高一4 唐心贝

Where the Red Fern grows is mainly about the adventures, including the growth of the main character and his two hunting dogs. The vocabulary requirement is not high. So such a novel is worth the challenge!

   Number the Stars took place in Denmark during World War II. Annemarie risked her life to save her Jewish friends. The themes of the article are profound and historical. It is short in length but the plot is tight and full of ups and downs.

  《红色羊齿草的故乡》围绕着主人公和他的两只猎狗的冒险与成长历程展开。词汇要求不高。这样一本长篇小说值得你挑战！

  《数星星》发生于二战时期的丹麦。主人公冒着生命危险去拯救她的犹太朋友。文章的内涵与立意深刻，历史真实。篇幅短小但情节紧凑、跌宕起伏。
